Injustice: Gods Among Us - Chapter 14

Two of my favourite panels in comics. Two Robins meet before it all goes to shit
Say whaaaaaaat Damian just killed Dick.
Okay this day gets from bad to worse each second.
So I was actually mad with how this went…I mean I already knew Damian was going to kill Dick. That was known ages ago. But the manner of the deed was wrong and it left me believe it or not mad at Batman.
It was an accident. Yes, a horrible horrible accident. Does that mean Damian should not be held responsible? No, of course not. What sibling has not gotten mad and thrown something at another sibling. The unfortunate thing in this case Dick dies, albeit in a rather anti-climatic way. Damian is crushed. He instantly regrets it. He yells out for Dick and cries. It was not some sort of premeditated murder. It was a petulant child throwing a tantrum. In this case, a child known for violent outbursts. Unfortunately it goes to far. Nowhere in these panels did Damian say he wished Dick dead. He’s actually repeating an action that in an earlier issue Dick says he does all the time. So Damian was not actually expecting Dick to get hurt at all. Maybe a bruise or two, but certainly not a broken neck.
Damian is technically at fault. I understand that. But Batman’s response I believe is wrong. He instantly abandons Damian and never takes him back. Suddenly, the line in the game about Superman being a better father makes sense. Supes is the one who understands that this was a heinous accident. Batman cast out his own flesh and blood. Don’t get me wrong. I believe Batsy should mourn Dick. His death was senseless. But this I’m alone again crap. No! You are not. Your other son is a mess right now. You are choosing to be alone.
Feel free to agree or disagree with me, but these were my initial feelings.
I have so much crap in my drafts…
